What is Yoga?

The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word, yuj. It means to bind, attach, and yoke. The art of living Yoga is to unite all the powers of the body, mind, and soul. Yoga is much more than a stretching class or a physical exercise. It is a practice of self-awareness and self-discovery. It brings together physical movement, rhythm of breath, mental focus, and tranquillity of the soul. It is truly a beautiful experience when the body, mind and spirit align. This is the feeling of true balance and harmony.
